All students, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, faith, creed, political views, sexual orientation, or disability, are welcome to apply for the University of the West. Students from dozens of countries and from around the United States come here for the quality education, affordable tuition and the unique environment fostered by this school’s commitment to developing a better understanding between Eastern and the Western cultures. The Admission ProcessApplicants are required to supply accurate and complete information on the application for admission form and all transcripts and test scores must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions. Failure to file complete and authentic application documents may result in denial of admission. >>>New Students: Click here for Lotus Scholarship information<<<Mandatory Testing for New Undergraduate Students: 2013Undergraduate students starting in the spring 2013 semester -- which begins Tuesday, Jan. 22 -- must take the math and writing assessment tests before registering for classes. Students will not be able to register for courses without having first taken the assessment tests. Testing is available from Dec. 10 to Jan. 7. Students must contact the Student Success Center directly to make an appointment for testing.

However, you may defer the application and fee for one time only by notifying the Admissions Office in writing four weeks before the beginning day of the semester that is indicated on your application. Otherwise, a new application fee will be required. Please make sure all of the admissions requirements are met before submitting your application. ***International Students: University of the West cannot issue an I-20 to you unless all of the above admissions requirements are met and all of the necessary legal documents are received. You are required to register for at least one semester in order for UWest to issue you an I-20. |
