The Faculty Senate is a political body of the university. It includes faculty members elected for two years by the faculty electorate. Thus, it is the voice of the faculty. By its constitution, the Faculty Senate has two roles: Formulating policy and procedures, and providing advice on matters relating to the general welfare of the university, including educational affairs, faculty affairs, students affairs, and finance and budget. To accomplish these responsibilities, the Faculty Senate needs input from all university stakeholders.
